Khanaspur, Ayubia, Khyber-Paktunkhawa Province May 2011

Khanaspur, a small hilly town in Ayubia, Khyber-Paktunkhawa Province was the venue for the 3rd four day residential course organized by the Alternate Solutions Institute in May 2011. The title was “The Ideas for a Free, Responsible and Prosperous Society.”

15 graduate and post-graduate students participated from various departments and institutes of University of the Punjab, Lahore, and 21 students came from the Government Post-Graduate College of Administrative Sciences at Marden and the University of Peshawar. Peshawar is the capital of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa, a province of Pakistan which is suffering the most at the hands of terrorists.

The course enabled the lecturers and students to explore and discuss concepts related to individual freedom and limited government in greater depth. Also the ASI staff were able to get to know students better and vice versa.
