Our partners in Kazakhstan have run “The Republican Forum for Young Entrepreneurs”, and currently are running seminars for young businessmen on a monthly basis as a part of “The Club of Young Entrepreneurs”. They also organize a book club to discuss ideas of freedom with young people each month with the first meeting in January 2012 when they discussed Ayn Rand’s “Atlas Shrugged”.
Later in 2012 they are planning a study tour for students from Almaty universities to International Students for Liberty conference in Washington D.C.
But before that on 16th and 17th of March they ran a conference on “Civic education: realities and perspectives”. During the conference they planned to establish a network of experts and NGOs, whose first project will be “Summer School for Democracy,” the curriculum of which will be based on seminars, training courses, round tables and discussions and its aim to promote basic values of our institute among people of Kazakhstan.
The target group of the Conference and School are representatives of: the political elite, business, media, universities and civil society activists.
